All members of the Scout
Movement are required to adhere to a Scout Oath and
Law reflecting, in language appropriate to the culture and
civilization of each National Scout Organization and approved
by the World Organization, the principles of Duty to God, Duty
to others and Duty to self, and inspired by the Oath and Law
conceived by the Founder of the Scout Movement in the
following terms:

Scout Oath
On my honor I
will do my best To do my duty to
God and my country and to obey
the Scout Law
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and
morally straight.
The Scout Law
A Scout is
trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous,
kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and
reverent.
